The CPDM presidential campaign was launched in the Northwest Region on Saturday, September 27, 2025, drawing thousands of militants and sympathizers to Bamenda in a show of strength and unity.

Leading the regional campaign team, former Prime Minister Philemon Yang urged the population to rally behind President Paul Biya, describing him as the only candidate with the wisdom and experience to continue guiding Cameroon forward. “All candidates are good Cameroonians, but not all possess the same qualities. In politics, it is experience that counts,” Philemon Yang told the cheering crowd.

The regional leader highlighted the Head of State’s achievements in peace, unity, democracy, and development, urging militants to consolidate the gains made under his leadership. “We prefer a candidate we know, one who has demonstrated commitment to peace and development. Let us unite behind President Paul Biya to continue building our country,” he said.
The Bamenda rally set the tone for the October 12 election, with the CPDM Northwest campaign team confident of delivering massive turnout and resounding victory for President Paul Biya.
